Are you thinking of selling or trading in an old car, truck, boat or RV? Why not donate it to the Hirshberg Foundation instead?

The Foundation works with a Car Program LLP, a reputable company that will make all the arrangements to pick-up your car donation at your convenience, and at no cost to you. They handle the title transfer requirements and will provide you with a tax deductible donation receipt at the time that they pick-up your car. You may receive the full fair market value as a tax deduction. As a charitable contribution, your car donation could make a big difference.

FAQ
1. What can I donate?
A: We accept most cars, trucks, trailers, boats and RVs

2. Is my donation tax deductible?
A: The Hirshberg Foundation is classified with the IRS as non-profit 501 (c)(3) charitable organization so your donation is tax deductible. Individual tax situations vary so please check with a tax professional to determine how you may benefit.

3. What do I need to provide?
A: Besides the car, we would like the title to the vehicle, but if you do not have it please call us anyway. It is possible that other arrangements may be made.

4. My car hasn't run in years. Can I still donate it?
A: Yes, most vehicles are accepted, running or not (exceptions include older vehicles whose value would not offset the cost of towing). To find out if we can accept your vehicle, please fill out the printable donation form.

5. Can you pick up vehicles in all 50 states?
A: It is possible to pick up most vehicles in the continental U.S. and Hawaii.

6. How does my tax deduction work?
The IRS allows you, the taxpayer, to claim a tax deduction of (a) the value of your vehicle up to $500 or (b) if your vehicle sells for more than $500, then Car Program LLC will mail you a postcard with that value for your tax purposes.

7. How will the car be picked up?
A: Arrangements will be made to have your vehicle towed away at a scheduled time.

8. How long will it take to pick up my car?
A: Someone will contact you to schedule an appointment within three to five business days at the most. .
